Better than the rest!

This thermometer is head and shoulders above the others I've had, and that I see being sold here. It reads the temperature quickly and accurately, and the packaging is a very professional touch. I'd highly recommend this thermometer if you're looking for a new one.

Eh i was excited to try this thermometer based on the reviews but ours takes forever to read (the temp climbs in 0.2F increments it seems) and it often shows no where no done temps although when we cut the meat open it's done (and often more because we trusted this guy). We've had quite a lot of over-done rubber chicken breasts lately. :-(
Surprisingly enough it shows the right room temperature when we get it out of the drawer. So you'd think it's user error but we've used plenty of meat thermometers in the past without problems. Disappointed.

Excellent Meat Thermometer

I have only praise for this very handy and functional meat thermometer. I'm favorably impressed with it's quick "on" and accurate temperature measurement - very handy on the grill. I recommend this product to all that have been disappointed with prior similar instruments!
Improve your grilling

Have used this for grilling quite a few times, A must for anyone who wants to improve their grilling or cooking. Don't guess when food is done, get an instant answer.
Pros: Seems to be a quality product and able to hold up to the elements, auto off function when you close the probe, the probe is long so you don't burn your self, has a hold function in case you are getting a cloud of smoke in your face, and does F/C. It reaches a stable temperature quickly and comes calibrated but gives you the option to calibrate later if needed.
Con: the magnets on this thing are pretty weak and won't stick to fridge. It did come with some adhesive velcro pads which seem to work better.

unlike steak, pork and chicken need to be cooked to proper temperature for safe consumption. i've always had a hard time cooking chicken and pork chop to safe eating temperature without going overboard and drying it out. this thermometer really helps me find the small window of perfection when cooking and grilling those difficult to control proteins.
