Great Sword Zelda Costume

My son loved this sword and carried for like 10 minutes while trick-or-treating and then handed it to me to keep safe. I thought I looked pretty realistic (for a kid's plastic sword) and that it came with a sheath. It does take a little effort to pull the sword out, but I think that's the design so the sword just doesn't fall out and get lost while your little one is running. The only thing I would change about it is that I would like to have some way that we can attach a strap to it so that it will be easier to carry around.

My 5 year old adores the Legend of Zelda series of games, and fancies himself the real life Link. Like most young children, he has a great imagination and wants to play as Link in real life play, not just be on the video game. He had done a lovely job of fashioning swords out of sticks and whatnot, but had some frustration at not having the "real" Link weapons.
I decided on this sword because I thought it would encourage him in imagination play, and it absolutely did! It looks just like the sword in the game, and it is top two most loved toys I've ever bought for my child. It makes him feel like a hero and empowers him to concoct elaborate playtime scenarios that keep him busy and away from the video game, ironically.

Stronger than average plastic sword/chipped paint

Bought this for my 10 yr old, he said it looked exactly like it did in the video game and was happy with the size. I liked it was a little more durable than the average plastic sword. A little a disappointed with how easy some of the paint chips off but we are also rough and feral when playing outside. Not a total shocker it doesn't''t look quite new by day three. If I could change anything I wish it had a belt or a hook on the back so that my son could wear the belt.
