Low cost but works well

Compared to local store prices, this was a great deal. I needed something simple and cost effective without a vapor barrier for a second floor job. Installation was uneventful and the laminate feels fine. I used clear packing tape to bridge the seams. My only minor gripe was that the roll was not cut squarely on one end. Overlapping then cutting through both pieces with a utility knife fixed the uneven edge.

Great product with unbeatable price. The cheapest underlayment in big stores costing $25 per 100ft. This only costing $ 14 per 100ft.
I put it under 12mm engineered wood flooring and it works perfectly fine, I don't hear any kicking noise. I took away one star is because of inconsistent product quality that I received. I order one last month and it came with curved surface, as shown on the picture and that's what we should expect. However, I ordered two more this week, they comes with one curved surface and one flat surface. I contacted Amazon for a replacement of the flat surface one and they offered me free one day shipping. It adds a star so 5 stars overall. Please double check the order you receive to ensure you receive the one with curved surface underlayment.

If there has ever been a foam underlayment that works better than this... I guess I don't know about it. We have installed several laminate floors over the years. Normally, we just grab the exact same product from the local store. This time, I was desperate for a better deal. Found this roll with fast shipping for about half of what the big box wanted. Very satisfied. Saved enough for pizza to celebrate our deal.
