but it's annoying and can give me a headache

Worked flawlessly for a while. Then suddenly started occasionally making a continues high pitched humming noise that keeps getting louder the more RPM i have. Weird if you ask me, but it's annoying and can give me a headache. It doesn't happen every flight though so i really can't explain it.

I purchased a Rugged RA900 last year and works great. I decided to purchased a ANR headset so it was the RA950. Rec'd it Saturday and tested the headset. Had to tweak on the mic settings and found that I had to scream to transmit. Noticed that the power led status light was showing green, but cycling on/off at random times by itself. Looked for the manual to see if it was normal.....didn't come with one. Surfed the net and couldn't locate one. Found a Faro ANR manual that looks like the 950 and found that the Faro light stays on to show battery status. Unplugged the 950 and plugged the 900 back in...had to tweak the mic sensitivity way down... but the 900 still performs great. The 950 normal price is around $450....just wonder if was a refurbished headset due to the $250 price. At.any case....it's being returned next week.

Made a huge difference from passive noise reduction. I tried some cheaper ones but they had a buzzing noise.
