Great as a paperweight

Great as a paperweight. Shipping time was good too. I can't comment as to any of the scientific properties of this weight, as I am just using it to weigh down books while scanning.
Should have been better protected in shipping

Should have been better protected in shipping. The bubble envelope was destroyed and had a hole in it. surprised it didn't fall out.
Other than that, product as described 500g weight

It's a calibration weight! Can't say much about it except, it's accurate and looks nice.
Without a scientific scale, seems accurate to me

I have nothing to compare this to. I don't have a highly sensitive scale, so I cannot tell if it's accurate to hundredths. For my uses, it is excellent.
I purchased a scale that measures grams in the hundredths. But I wasn't sure it was accurate. I also wanted a weight in case I needed to calibrate it in the future. I purchased this to verify that the scale was at least close to accurate. The weight weighed exactly 500.00 grams on the scale. I can now use the scale and be sure that it is accurate.

Mine is accurate enough down to a tenth of a gram.

Bought with a brand-new scale which initially measured it at 500.1 g. A known-good 20g weight came in at 19.9. Calibrated with this weight and now the 20 reads 20g and nickels read 5. That is on-point enough for my purposes!
