Bad reviews lack of understanding and comment sense.
Per Rudolfsen✓ Verified Purchase•December 8, 2017
I buy a lot on Amazon, and of course I read the reviews, but when I see through the bad reviews,I see that 9 out of 10 is lack of reading Amazons description or manual, and a lack of understanding/comment sense.
When I take this very unfair reviews away, I actually see a good product with good reviews in most cases.
When people complain about, that they need to have the USB cable connected to the computer in order to recharge, it's sad, because an AC/DC Adaptor is following the product, and a very informative User Manual explain it very well.
It's also sad to hear "Yvette" says: "I needed an alarm clock that wakes me with radio. but the radio plays at volume 7 which is quite loud. Just to illustrate the first time the radio went on as alarm at 6 am, I though something exploded right next to my head."
And she continue: "...the snooze button does not work when alarm clock set to radio. the radio will play for 30 min and than turn itself off."
Yvette, don't you think you have the sleep timer on, which default settings is 30 minutes, and what about set the volume?!
Please Yvette (and all other unfair reviews} READ THE MANUAL - and if you don't understand it, let another one explain it for you.
It's absolute NOT fair to the product and the manufacturer (AND other people there count of a review of the PRODUCT, and not your understanding), that you put the average stars down with this kind of reviews.
Most alarm clock I have seen has double function in the buttons - this one too. Try to understand how it's working!
If the item is not working after 30 days or later, it's of course not good, but then contact the seller and try to fix it.
Just to make it clear:
I DON'T know the seller at all - was just looking for an alarm clock - and got upset of this kind of reviews!
It's so annoying, that people review their own lack of understanding and comment sense - instead of reviewing the product.
I have just received this item today, and everything is setup and working perfect!
Actually I'm very impressed for the price, and would give it more than 5 stars, if possible.
PS!
One thing I can admit is, that it should be a choice if you have the display light on or off - but not reason enough for a one or two star, if you are satisfied with anything else!! It's NOT fair at all.

At first I thought this radio was a good value. It seemed to play the radio nicely until today. The radio will play for about 10 minutes and then it just turned itself off. I checked the wall outlet, unplugged the cord from the radio and plugged it back in. Pressed the radio button and it played again - this time for less than a minute. I went thru those same steps again but it would not play again. The clock still works tho. I didn't have any USB to try to see if it will play from that so I guess it's just not working. Sad part is, this is only the 5th time I've used it. Tho I just bought it in August, The exchange date has expired.
Good price - good sound - remote control is great

I use the sd card slot feature to store hundreds of classical music. I play this at the veterans office where I work. The veterans enjoy the softer music that make them feel more comfortable when helping out with VA claims. I especially like the remote feature that allows me turn up or down the music volume.
I give it only 4 stars because it does not have an audio out port or an external antenna port. It gets poor radio reception even when next to the window.

Rechargable

Needs to be plugged in every once in a while to charge for radio. I charge it while the kids are at school/camp. Even though, since we pretty much just use it as an alarm clock, it can go a full 2 weeks without being plugged in. If you go to turn it on, and the clock works but the radio doesn't, it likely needs to be plugged in to charge. But still, this is sooooo much better than a stationary radio that has to be plugged in ALL the time to work.
Good sound, delicate construction.

The antenna broke off as soon as i pulled it up. So basically right out of the box. I set it back down in the hole and it's still working. doesn't get a signal inside but picks up pretty good outside. Puts out a lot of sound and it's not tinny sounding so that is a plus. there seems to be no way to change out the battery. It gives no indication when it's charging or when it's full. The charger also doesn't seem to want to fit correctly so maybe that's why. I didn't return it because despite its flaws it puts out decent sound and it's small (about two female hand spans) so it fits a small table well when at the pool.
