Excellent product, sprays easily and evenly and works well

I recently moved into a newly renovated apartment where unfortunately the workers didn't take the most caution in installing the floors. The plank floors installed seem to have had some kind of sticker stuck to many of the planks, and I found these little goo spots on the floor variously throughout the apartment (at least a dozen of them separately). I tried scrubbing them off by hand using just soap and water but that didn't really work very well.

I bought this product and all of them lifted off with ease. I just sprayed the spots, let sit for about 10 seconds, and wiped away with a cotton wash cloth. Some of the bigger spots took 2-3 rounds of spraying and wiping but nothing too laborious. I was able to get all of the spots completely off and now you cannot tell they were ever there -- even if you look closely and know exactly where they were! Additionally this did not discolor the floors in any way. Very happy with the performance of this product.
Kinda disappointed.

Bought a BIG bottle of the EXTRA strength. Honestly, can't really tell the difference between this and the regular strength other than it leaves EVEN MORE of a slimy residue. Ain't broke, don't fix... Stick with the regular Goo Gone IMHO.
Useless new formula...Not like old Goo Gone Xtreme

I used to use goo gone xtreme. That stuff was so strong I stripped the paint off of my table by mistake while working on my project. I tried to buy it again only to find that the product had new packaging and what appeared to be a new formula because the old one didn't smell like anything other than the strong chemical that it was. I tried to use this for my current project and it was useless. I decided to try to remove pen seeing as though my husband got ink in the dryer....nope, no good, i tried it on paint...nope, no good. I ended up using nail polish remover for my original project which was cleaning a pocketbook lining. This stuff couldn't even do that! I need my original formula goo gone back!
It worked on dark wood!

There was a sticker on our dark wood TV stand when we bought it (who puts a sticker on wood!? seriously) that left extremely bad residue. I was hesitant to use this product on the dark wood, but tested it on a small patch first and nothing happened so I applied it to the sticky residue. Followed the instructions & let it sit for 10ish minutes, then wiped it off with a white cloth and it came off EFFORTLESSLY. I didn't even have to scrub. It just came off. I have to say I was shocked. I did not expect that it would work because the residue was so bad. But it did work--the area is smooth and the sticky residue completely gone. It did not discolor or damage the wood at all. Highly recommend!
UNSTICKS EVEN SNAKES

Goo Gone is one of the greatest inventions of millenniums. I have told fire men they need to have this on hand for home & of course in the fire trucks. I had a non-venomous good snake stuck on 2 mouse glue boards. The firemen came to get the snake & when it was further from the garage I poured some of Goo Gone on the snake/glue boards the boards & snake finally parted ways. I think the snake was happy so was I. The fireman had never seen anything like this. He's going to purchase. If it can get glue boards of a snake it can do almost do everything. Also works on get gecko's off the glue boards also. I live in AZ
