Works Perfect For My Use

I had thoroughly read through reviews before buying this product and knew going in that it would be thin. I would agree with other reviewers that the bottom is really thin for a kennel pad.
That said, I didn't buy it to use in a kennel, rather I bought it to add to a memory foam mattress as a topper to provide an edge and protect a heating pad from kitty claws (in a DIY heated bed).
The pad on the bottom is just thick enough so that my cats claws do not go through it, but thin enough to let heat through without having to turn the heating pad up so high that it's dangerous.
The material is a soft minky kind of material and my cat took to it instantly (as in I removed it from the package and he hopped onto it without a second thought).
It is absolutely perfect for my use but I'm not sure it's great for use as a kennel pad (alone that is), but certainly is better than just a blanket at the bottom of a kennel. If you're not looking for a lot of padding (the padding is about 1cm thick) but just want a soft cozy material to line a kennel with this pad will be great for you.

Fits nicely in his crate. I gave comfort a 4 instead of 5 star because it is very thin. Since he likes to go inside to nap, I pad the center with a couple of additional soft blankets. Of course, my dog may think it's fine without the extra padding ðŸ¤.

Easy to throw in the wash and have lasted for 6 years with large dogs. My dogs arent crated for long periods though. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it got permanently crusty from one of my dogs that drooled and the crustyness kind of embedded in the material. They are kind of thin, but I like they have the raised border as they keep their bowls from sliding when feeding. Otherwise they held up well and I bought them again.

For dogs that like to chew. It doesn't work! My 4 month old puppy chewed a hole in it right away and pulled out stuffing. I need to find a mat that isn't cloth type.
