Can't say enough about this product.
I went with the extreme as I didn't think about the door and how many pulleys I was going to need to use. And it has the usb power function.
If you have neighbors (as I do) you can set the door opening to whatever time you want. (after the rooster would start crowing) and then using the light setting for the door is awesome, with the safeguard that it will shut by a specific time.
The only thing I would like to see changed on this is the ability to mount it upside down and the display be able to be rotated (electronically).
I may end up having to mount it upside down at some point, but would have been nice if that was an option on the display.
But you will not be disappointed, as this is a must have.

This door has been a work horse and totally dependable for 2 and a half years. It worked on one battery for a year- even through the extreme winters in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Then it happened- we had a "door jam " error after the cord got tangled being drawn up. It had worked perfectly up to this point for 2 and 1/2 years though and it was hard to complain.
Then my appraisal of this item went even further up and right off the scale. It came with a three year warranty and within minutes, literally, of posting a question about replacement parts, I was emailed back with a request for my current address so parts could be expressed out to me! That is not an exaggeration! When the part didn't solve the issue - they turned around and expressed out the brand new latest model!
The customer service I received from this company is something you rarely find these days. The part was totally covered and they replaced it fast!
We have about 70 chickens so the door is an essential to our operations.

Very nice and strong door opener. Had a couple issues with the string breaking but found out it was rodents chewing it. Very reliable and if you remember that a flashing light means the batteries are dying you shouldn't have any issues. I go to bed knowing our chickens are safe behind a closed door. Also, in the morning the birds are let out in their run automatically. I love this thing!
UPDATE: Died at 7 months. Seems like the motor froze. String will not move at all. When I attempt to re-calibrate the door the screen just blanks out and does nothing. I will try to contact the company to ascertain warranty service and will update afterwards.
UPDATE 2: Contacted the company, a few emails later it was decided I needed to return the opener for repair/replacement. Well, the company is in the UK and mailing to the UK is not cheap, nor fast. Mailed 14 days ago and have not heard anything yet. Requested status update or information on the package arrival, but nothing heard back yet. Will update again later.

Easy install. I use one of those thick plastic-like cutting boards as a sliding door. It is relatively slippery and I don't have to worry about it swelling and getting stuck in the slot. The door is fairly heavy and this opener had no problem lifting it.
We've had multiple (14 + nights) of -5 to - 15 degree F and colder here and other than the display acting a little sluggish (expected in temps this cold) the door opener has operated flawlessly.
Yes, it is ridiculously expensive for what it does, but it is simple to use, easy to install, and built like a tank. I planned on building my own out of an arduino and some other supplies (probably $30 - 40 in materials), but it would have taken me a day+ to put it all together and test it. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I have more money than time at the moment so buying was the way to go.
Very happy with the purchase.

Works great. The reason for 4 stars is I feel it still is a bit too expensive for what it is and I feel it could be a little more powerful. It just sounds cheap when its operating.
