Cost effective chicken run

Decently large run for my bantam chickens. Came pretty well packaged and can't beat free prime shipping. The instructions were minimal but easy enough to put together. I wish the door design didn't leave such large spaces around it. If you want to make it more secure from predators then you'll need to replace the chicken wire with hardware cloth.

Assembly was easy but attaching the netting was very tedious. Get a nice pair of wire snips to save time cutting. Used every zip time included plus some. Its made for small animals. Big animals will get in if they want. Just be careful as there is no way this is dog proof. I don't think this will last more than a few years but we'll see.

Update: seller contacted me and offered a full refund which given it is outside of warranty is fantastic. As a CSR i truly appreciate good CS experience. They did explain that they have made changes to the design since my purchase, but we are building a much bigger more permanent run for our ladies. One recommendation for either other buyers or even the seller, add a center pole where all the pole meet should drastically up the strength (hindsight).
Setting up the metal frame was easy. The chicken wire was difficult to get tight and you need way more zip ties to make secure. Little tarp was ok for the summer but would not be suitable for winter if you get any snow. I'm glad my husband talked me out of putting a bigger tarp on and convinced me to remove the little tarp. After one storm with heavy wet snow the run collapsed in the middle. If the tarps were in it it would have been crushed completely.
Once the weather warmed a bit we went out, pushed the center back up and added straps brace the top like collar ties. Well that would've probably worked but the center hardware has apparently rusted out completely and snapped. This thing didn't last 6month and now isn't salvageable.

The frame isn't as sturdy as I would like. I knew it came with thin wire so I already purchased some chain link fence to go around the base for my dogs. But still cheaper than most with having to buy the extra fencing. The wire also has to be cut as you put it on the cage and was the hardest part to put on and make it tight.

It took two of us about 4 hours to get it together and secure the chicken wire. We did have to drill a couple holes to attach the door since they were missing, but it wasn't too difficult. The tarp doesn't quite cover the whole top, which I find annoying. The design isn't the best because the bottom pieces are pulled up from trying to make the chicken wire taught. It did come with plenty of zip ties and we had a lot of leftover wire. After building and covering with the wire, we cut a hole out and stapled the opening to our enclosed coop. Our chickens are closed inside the coop at night and stay in this pen with their door to the coop open during the daytime. I would not trust this to keep any predators out, but it works for what we need it for. It is big enough for our 4 small hens and I can walk around in it comfortably.
