This is a VERY dark blonde - my hair is naturally a copper toned dirty blonde (try matching that) and I thought it would work okay. After following the instructions, my hair now is a very light brown with copper highlights. Dark colors never last so that is an upside and it should fade quickly but it's way darker than "Dark Blonde".
Need to tone after!

I've tried every major brand, and usually just buy what's on sale thinking, "it's all the same chemicals in different packaging". Well this is better than the others. Don't know why. Others look kind of fake at first then more ok after a week; this looked awesome right away. Wil buy it again.

I have gotten so many compliments on both this color 6.44 Desert Copper and the 5.84 Chocolate Copper. Some people think it's my actual color, which is what you want in an at-home color treatment. I wish the color lasted longer than 6 weeks, but I love that it goes on with little offensive odor, and at the end, you wash your hair. That's right: you wash your hair! Isn't that crazy? My natural hair color is a light-to-medium brown probably -- hard to say with the gray I have -- and I like the added warmth the copper brings since I am fair with freckles. I was using the 5.84 and wanted a deeper copper, so went with 6.44 this last time with wonderful results. I tend to find the "glowing copper" collection more at Meijer and Walmart, by the way, but it's less cost here at Amazon. (Plus, no lines. No waiting. LOL)
