Great rack
Ron DavisSeptember 6, 2017
I really like this rack. I bought the 4 bike rack for two reasons it fits a 2" receiver hitch (more stable and less wobbling that the 1 1/2") and it cost $60 less that the two bike rack.
I have traveled 500 miles with my bikes and no issues. Very stable and easy to get off and on. If I need to open my hatchback it lowers out of the way.
Assemble was quick and easy if your follow the directions. I would recommend you purchase a 5/8" metal bit to drill out the rack to fit your hitch pin opening of 5/8". Order it from Amazon as it may be hard to find as most stores only stock up to 1/2". I also bought a locking pin so that a thief with a socket set could not steal it while I am riding. Would be a downer to return from a ride and find my rack stolen.
The part of Ohio I live in has the largest paved bike paths in the US.
Easy mod With a drill

Seems high quality for price. Fit right in my 2 inch hitch. I did a few things to it: drilled out for a normal hitch pin sized for a 2 inch hitch (locking), it same with a nut/bolt and was too small for the hitch pin. Theft waiting to happen imo. Easy mod With a drill. I also wrapped a layer of thick gorilla tape around it where it goes into the hitch so it would fit a bit snug and I oiled pins ect to help avoid eventually rust if the plating wears off. I also attached a bit of 2 inch pipe insulation with large zip ties to the main shaft to avoid rubbing the back bike. So far I've had 2 e bikes (with batterys removed) on it with no issues (about 80lb or so).
I'm glad I decided on this one

I had been wanting a hitch-mount bike rack for some time and after doing some homework, I'm glad I decided on this one. It is very solidly made and I've already used it about 4 or 5 times in just about 2 weeks. I've only had my bike and my son's smaller bike but it's more then solid enough for them and it seems like it will be fine with another 2 on it as well. I followed the reviews many mentioned about drilling the hitch bolt hole large enough to use a standard pin vs. the provides bolt. It is just MUCH quicker especially if plan on taking the rack on and off or switching back to a trailer setup. etc. I love the tilt away and it works very well, even with 2 bikes mounted, just note that gravity is not your friend when doing this. Overall, I am VERY happy with this rack and would recommend it.
Better than most of the expensive ones

I spent so much time looking for something on here that would fit my SUV and didn't cost a ridiculous amount. I will say this is a VERY easy product to put together and it fits on the back nicely and when you swing it down you can open the back hatch without issue. I have yet to swing it down with a bike on it though, I've heard its hard and I will try it soon and post about it. It looks great, it doesn't add much on the back to make it difficult to judge and my only advice is to grab a bungie cord or tie down if you plan on keeping it on while empty full time. It is so sturdy but the top part does make a little bit of a rattle noise when you stop and go or go over bumps but a cheap $1 bungie cord will stop that no problem!
Very stable mount.

Very stable and much more rigid than the Allen 2 bike rack. Only problem I have is that the cradles don't move. They are at fixed positions unlike their 2 bike rack. And don't ask me if it will fit on your car. If your car is capable of having a 2 inch receiver hitch (Class 4), then it should fit. It will not fit vehicles with spare tires mounted on the back either. It holds four bikes easily, but if I was driving cross country with four bikes, I would remove the pedals to keep your spokes intact. We typically carry three with the rack and it's fine.
