This Enerlites switch is overall a very nice in-wall electronic countdown timer switch, for my purposes pretty clearly the best available. But I do have a few comments and complaints.

This switch is available in numerous variations: 1-minute -up-to- 30-minutes, or 5 minutes to 4 hours, or 30 minutes up to 12 hours; white, or ivory; neutral connection required, or neutral not required (albeit with correspondingly slightly lesser functionality). That's all good. But maybe even more variations available, I'm not sure, and (more importantly) I can't readily tell. And not all combinations are available either, e.g. it looks like the up-to-12-hour timer is available only in white and with the neutral wire required; but again I can't really tell for sure. I think it's a definite mistake on Enerlites' part that they don't appear anywhere, even on their own website, to publish any kind of catalog or listing of their available products and variations thereof. I'm comfortable that I got the best, right switch for me, but only because I consulted with Enerlites' tech. support - which support, it should be noted, is consistently superb, as good as any I've seen. But, as always, the best support is that which isn't needed.

And I think it's also a mistake by Enerlites that they make this timer switch with stranded wire pigtails, instead of screw terminals for the (4) electrical connections. Big-league electrical switches and receptacle outlets and the like nearly all have screw terminal connections, and for plenty good reasons. Enerlites tech support points out that the wire pigtails, supplied along with 4 wire nuts, constitutes a complete-in-the-box solution, requiring no other parts to be supplied by the installer; and that's generally true as far as it goes - but their complete solution isn't a particularly good one, it makes for more, messy and bulky wire connections to be squeezed into the electrical box, along with the definitely large body/housing of the switch itself. If they really want a pro-grade solution that also requires no additional parts, they could provide screw terminals plus 4 short lengths of wire.

The provided installation and operation instructions for this switch are good and clear and reasonably complete - which is ironic, since it's obvious from the pervasive falsehoods and mis-statements in the user reviews and answers here that most of these users don't read the instructions while still feeling free to declaim.

And lastly, I think it's tacky that Enerlites describes this switch's LED indicator as constituting a night light, "easy to locate in the dark," since this "night light" is only on while the switch is on, otherwise it's off - not much of a night light in my view.

But what the heck, my Enerlites switch is installed without too much fuss, and looks good, and works beautifully, just about as advertised. And my feelings on the issues described above are largely assuaged by talking with the excellent Enerlites tech support. So I reckon I'll be nice in return, rate this timer switch 5 stars for now, and see how it goes with time.

I installed 4 of these and they all work great. I will say the LED selection lights are brighter than I expected. They work well for us though and basically serve as night lights in all the bathrooms. Might be a way to dim them if a guy was smarter than me while installing them, but I'm not unhappy with the current set up and don't plan to mess with them. Just thought the info might help someone else.

I like the design and function. It requires some good room on single gang box. Wire nuts have to be tucked to the side cause it sits deeper into the box than I expected.
I would have given a 5-star rating but I was hoping for an illuminated model. You cant see any of the buttons until they are pressed and selected. A nice blue light appears on each button when selected. Other than that, I'm fairly happy with it and don't concern myself with my girl leaving the fan on overnight by mistake any longer.

When built, the bath light and fan were on separate switches. To eliminate condensation on the ceiling, I would leave the fan on after showering, only to forget and find it running hours later, wasting electricity and heat in winter. Even with condensation on the ceiling, testing with a humidity meter at the switch found almost no change. So a humidistat switch would likely be ineffective.

Looking around for a timer, I found this one, and am totally happy with the results. Installation was simple because all the wires came through the box (ground, neutral, light hot, and fan hot). I just replaced the fan switch with this timer. (Ensure power is off at the breaker before work, verify at the box. Consult an electrician if there is any question about your ability to safely perform the work.) I did need to visit the big box store to get a combination wall plate.

Pressing any of the smaller top buttons programs the switch and runs the fan for that time. Pressing the large bottom button re-runs the last program time. Very simple. I found my best setting is 30 minutes. I just press the large bottom button once before stepping in the shower. 30 minutes later ... long after showering ... and I've forgotten because I'm busy with something else, I hear the fan shut off. To the quiet I whisper, "thank you."

It was all too common for us to leave the fan running for hours on end following a shower without noticing. To prevent prematurely burning our fan out, I installed this to automate the system. It works exactly as expected and has likely saved us money in both electrical bills as well as from not having to prematurely replace our exhaust fan. I'm sure it would also encourage individuals who may not be as prone to use the fan to turn it on.

Overall, very easy to install and use.
