I'm always on the hunt for the perfect bag to travel on the subway to work. This one fit the bill. It's lightweight, durable and is pretty roomy. One star knocked off because the zips on the side pockets are small and it makes it hard to utilize the entire space in the side pocket.

Looks great and very well done. Many pockets for small stuff and plenty of room for bigger stuff. I love it.

For what I'm using it for, it's the perfect size! I was super scared that it would fit everything I needed it to fit because of how small it looks but it's actually a lot bigger than it looks, it can fit a chromebook, a 3 inch binder, a 120 page journal, a regular sized novel, and 2 pencil cases in the main pocket! The side pockets that look like they're for water bottles are also great to fit your glasses case or phone and it fits perfectly nice and snug so if anyone tries to take something you'll feel it but you can take it out easily by yourself.

I will update this review if it turns out to be flimsy or low quality after use.

I got this bag because I wanted something to make a difficult trip more fun and it seemed rather Hobbitish. I was going to fly from Iowa to California to help my mother-in-law move here. I packed this bag in anticipation and my daughter drove me the 90 minutes to Des Moines. I intended to spend the night in a motel near the airport and walk in the morning. When I arrived at the motel I found that I had left my ID at home, of all things! So she had to drive back and get it. Strike one, as I was on pins and needles until she arrived and then made it safely home. I got up ready for my adventure and I got it. My 5-minute walk across Feur Drive turned fun when the most violent thunderstorm cut loose, and I had to walk anyway to make my flight. The road had no crosswalk, so I had to step into water over my shoes. By the time I got there I was soaked, the bag was soaked. I changed into a dry shirt in the bathroom but my pants socks and shoes were wet as can be. So of course I set off the detector, the bottom half of me lighting up and me leaving big wet footprints in my stocking feet. I didn't get strip-searched but I did get fondled. I then boarded the plane wet, made my trip to Pheonix wet and cold, and didn't get warm until I got to California. The bag is water-resistant to a degree, not waterproof. There was a bit of light discoloration where some of the leather dye seemed to have rubbed off but not much, and it made the remainder of the trip in style.
Oh, it gets better! After loading a U-haul and a trailer that I was to tow in a packed Tahoe along with 2 cats and 8 songbirds in 4 cages, I find it has no AC and it's 108 degrees. The door handle is broken and has a wire; when I pull on it it comes off, so I have to crawl over from the passenger side. And no radio. Anyway, in Beaver, Utah a tire on the trailer starts to peel off, so I replace it at a ruinous cost. I make it to Gypsum, Colorado, and one of the reat tires on the Taho is splitting! It is 5:30, only one place open and he can't get the size, an odd one, till morning, and there are no motels so I spend the night in his parking lot. I am off again by 9 am the next morning after trying to sleep upright in a parking lot. I make it to York, Nebraska when the engine head cracks. I get towed to town, spending the night in another hotel. The next day I rent a U-haul, transfer the stuff from the Tahoe to it, hitch up my trailer and make it home by 5 pm. So a 3-day trip turned 5, I bought 3 tires and lost a car. The one thing that didn't disappoint is this bag. I still use it a lot. It reminds me that even though the trip was horrible I met a lot of good people, saw a good bit of America, and arrived safe and sound if somewhat weary. It was my traveling companion through tough times. I hope, if you purchase one, it serves you as well as it did me.
