I got these to put music on to play on our amp (I'd have preferred SDs, but the amp of course only takes USBs!) I thought, "Oh, 2-gig ones will be fine for music." Well, for MOST of my music, I was right.... except for things like Ralph Vaughan Williams, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Celtic Harp.

For those, I have to artificially break up sets or knock the songs down to 128k bitrate. Okay, 128 is just fine in the car, but at home?

As for the thumb drives themselves.... every single one of them became unreadable this week. We finally decided it was because they were on the sewing table -- next to my Grabbit Pin Magnet. So, okay -- the Pin Magnet and the Thumb Drives absolutely DO NOT go on the sewing table on the same time! Thank heaven the only things on the drives was music that I could easily re-record after my BF reformatted my drives. (I was getting error messages, and my computer refused to even reformat them for me. I need to get him to show me how he got his to reformat them in case he's ever gone if anything like that happens again -- or if I'm on the road and need to restore from the Cloud.)

The only thing I regret is not getting some larger ones. I'll probably get a few individual ones for the groups/composers I have the most stuff by.

i have brought a lot of memory sticks over the years. once the price fell, i use them more than cds and should a fellow computer user need free programs such as winamp, vlc, gimp, classic shell (fixes windows 10 menus) it is very easy to place these on a memory device and give them to people who are still trying to set up a computer. they work for documents and pictures every bit as well.

i do not like the sliding sticks, these are just regular sticks and work very well. a 3 pack is nice to buy so you always have one or two left over
after using one for yourself. i will purchase this product again and again in the near future.

All I needed was less than 1 GB, to share two short MPEG-4 movie files with music (total 10 minutes), and a folder with some photos, of a family event. No one sells 4 GB or less around here.
So I decided an 8 GB drive will be more useful to the recipients anyway, in the future. I was anxious to send them as thank you tokens to those who couldn't attend, but sent gifts. I ordered from Amazon prime on April 26th, it didn't ship until May 5th, but arrived in two days via USPS.
I immediately downloaded every one with my videos, on my Mac Mini. It was easy: insert Drive > drag the video files, on the desktop, into the Drive icon > let it download. Rename the Drive icon (it's "unknown", I think) before ejecting it, or do that later.
Then I played through each one on the Mac Mini, and then on a Mac Air laptop. Also, I tried a couple on a PC and they worked.
The flashing light is helpful to show it's engaged, and a reminder to Eject it before removing. It can be distracting while using a laptop, but can easily be covered or blocked with something.
The red metallic sheen is pretty, with no writing or logo on either side.
It's 2-1/4 x 3/4 x 1/4 inch in size, so it's easy to mail.
There's a loop on the end for attachments. The clear cap is easy to remove and replace.
I am very satisfied with this purchase.

The product was exactly what I needed for project. The flash drives did not have the brand name on them which allowed me to label each one as needed. They were shipped quickly as promised. Customer service was incredibly responsive. One of the 10 flash drives were unreadable and thus, could not be used. I received an immediate refund for the unusable flash drive. These aren't the best drives in the world, but when you need a small gigs, they are worth buying. We use them in industrial and home based embroidery machines. They have worked on every make and model. The trick is that some machines need you to make a file folder on the drive and then put your designs inside the file folder. The brand depends on what you need to name the file or if you need to name it. Some machines don't need the file. Easiest thing to do is look at a drive you already use and see what the folder says.
