recently had my rook pierced. i didn't use this soap until it was a week and a half old. before that i had been using dial (recommended by my piercer) and sterile wound wash. let me tell you, the dial did nothing but irritated it to the point where pus came out. switched over to this once or twice a day in combination with H2Ocean four times a day and instantly saw and felt the difference. it felt so clean and so much better. I wasn't able to survive without ibuprofen every four hours, literally. I was waking up with it swollen everyday and the swelling would last all day until it was basically time to go to sleep again. my whole ear blew up and was red. the pain was so bad but it's said to be normal for such a tough piercing. my piercing now.. it hasn't swelled at all since and you'd be astonished at how it looks for a new piercing. skin all looks normal, everything is back to normal and i have no pain whatsoever unless i accidentally bump it. amazing for even the toughest piercings

More than 17 months after I'd gotten my nipples pierced, they still wouldn't heal. I did the salt soaks and the sprays and the antibacterial soap from Wal-Mart, and my piercings were still disgustingly purulent, crusty, painful, and sitting crooked because bumps had formed and wouldn't heal. I started using this soap in the shower, and I'm telling you after less than a week after the first use I could've cried with joy at how much better my piercings looked and felt. It's been about a month now and I use the soap 3-4 times a week. I haven't had any issues with pus, I can sleep on my stomach again, and the piercings themselves don't look as crooked (one is slightly crooked, but that's because my piercer was a dingdong). I definitely recommend this.

This stuff is the holy grail for piercings that aren't happy and just won't heal. I had gotten my anti-tragus pierced when I was 18, and it never healed. When I was 21, a friend told me about Provon and bought me a bottle, and within a few weeks of using it daily in the shower, the inflammation and redness went down, the "bump" was gone, and it was no longer tender. I continued to use it for a couple months following that, just so I knew it was fully healed and wasn't going to flare up again (I'd say maybe 4-5 months total, with about 2 months for the initial redness and swelling to subside).

It was fully healed--so I thought--for about 8 years, and then I decided to get the jewelry changed at a local piercing shop. Apparently my ear didn't like the shape of the new curved barbell (and it was a little short) compared to the hoop that had been there for the past 10+ years. Within a week of changing the jewelry, my anti-tragus was inflamed again, red, tender, had pus, and "the bump" was back. NOOOOOOOOOOOO! With three weeks till my wedding, I knew I HAD to buy some Provon. Within the first 10 days, the bump slowly went down, there was no more pus or redness. It's been almost three weeks now, and today is the first day where I can feel it and it "feels fully healed" again. I will be continuing to use the soap for another few months just to make double sure that the piercing is happy again.

Purchased based on other people's reviews. My new conch piercing was starting to get warm, tender, swollen and sore- to the point where I couldn't touch my ear. The day I started using this soap I noticed results. This is how I use it: in the morning in the shower I put a dime size amount on my finger tips, create a lather and carefully clean all around the piercing, I leave it on for less than 10 seconds and rinse throughly. Pat dry carefully with a paper towel. At night in the shower I do the same but afterwards I do a warm sea salt soak for 5 minutes, and 15 minutes later rinse off my ear with cold water. My ear never looked or felt better!

This is a great soap for sanitizing and protecting your hands at the same time. Will buy again!
