Let me start by saying that the crock itself is fine--it's a ceramic crock just like the photo. The faucet is a piece of garbage as other people have noted. I took their advice and ordered a metal replacement when I ordered the crock. The metal faucet is nice and doesn't leak, but there were no directions. It was pretty intuitive to put together . . . but still. The stand is terrible. It is varnished sloppily with drips, but that is not a huge deal for me. The two pieces of the stand each have a notch in it so that they can be placed one on top of the other. However, the notch in one of them was not deep enough so that the legs were uneven. I pretty much evened it out by adding washers to two of the legs where the rubber feet screw into the bottom of the stand . . . but still. Also, the round wooden plate that the crock sits on has pre-drilled holes for the screws that go into the top of the stand but no pre-drilled holes in the top of the stand itself. So you need a drill to put the stand together. I have a drill . . . but still. it should have been made clear in the description that a drill was needed. It's just a very shoddy stand.

The nozzle/faucet is a cheap piece of plastic crap that flows so slow it's not worth it - HOWEVER, I went to the home improvement store and got some 3/8" brass pipe fittings since I knew it would have this problem anyway and I already knew I had to do it to get decent flow (~$27). (Now it looks totally farmhouse! WOO!) Furthermore, the pot was bigger than expected and holds a 5 GALLON JUG with very good stability (that's what I bought it for). Doesn't come with a lid (knew that, don't care).

It would have gotten 5 stars if not for the slow plastic faucet, but I don't know of anyone that can provide better results on amazon than a trip to the home improvement store.

This is arrived on time, and we have been using it every since we got it.
But there were a couple of things that don't make it quite a 5 star item for me.

1st: The base. Its a bit wobbily and the screws given are short, so it easily will come off if you try to take the crock on that base.

2nd: the nozzle: It worked fine for a few months, then it started dripping, A LOT, then when I went to check the nozzle, the top part broke, because its white plastic, their for basically making it non-usable.
The solution to this was I came to amazon, and bought a stainless steel nozzle and installed that. It works MUCH better, and doesn't drip.

So my suggestion is, if you do decide to buy this particular dispenser, buy your self a stainless steel nozzle and replace it before using it, it will save you trouble in the future.

So far I like this dispenser and stand but I am knocking a star off because of some missing hardware (see photo). I ended up not doing step 1 of the assembly instructions because of the missing screw but it seems to be OK (again, see photo).

It looks like I also got 5 pieces of part #6 (instead of 4) and 0 pieces of part #7 (instead of 1), but was able to use a #6 screw as a #7 screw.

Finally, there are no pre-drilled holes to help with assembly but it's not that big of a deal.

Now that I got the above quibbles out of the way, I do like the unit overall so 4 stars out of 5.

The ceramic pot is of great quality. In fact it managed to not break when the stand broke and sent the water bottle, stand and ceramic pot hurling into the floor. Unfortunately I am not able to return this product.
