Great casual look
burnetten•July 16, 2017
The black and white saddles are classy shoes; I have already owned two pairs, both through Amazon. With waterproofing, occasional touch up with a suede "eraser," and judicious avoidance of sloppy weather, these shoes will hold their like-new appearance for 3-4 years, even if worn several times a week. Eventually, the non-replaceable heels will wear down. I wear the newer pair to my country club functions several times a week; they look great with white trousers and a black (or navy) blazer - true "club casual." The older pair I retired to everyday wear to and from the golf course; even with less care than the newer shoes, these older ones still look very good (with the exception of the worn heels) after about six years. Hopefully, Amazon will start carrying them again in my size (9.5 US) so that I can continue with my shoe "rotation."
Fell apart after 3 months
David Black✓ Verified Purchase•May 7, 2016
Very disappointed in these shoes. I actually really liked the way they looked and felt, but within a couple of days the toes both got divots in them, where the underlying support of the toe collapsed. This wasn't a huge deal, but certainly detracted from the look of the shoe, and gave the first indication that the shoes were not well made.
After a couple of months of almost daily wear one of the laces broke, which was to be expected because I am hard on laces, and was an easy fix. But then the tongue of one the shoes simply fell off, having apparently been attached by less than a half inch of bad stitching. Can't replace that like I did with the laces, so the shoes are unwearable after 3 months. I've had many pairs of shoes, and I've never had a pair fall apart so quickly.
So, if you buy these shoes expect to replace them after a few months. Or just save your money and get something that'll last. Between the immediate aesthetic issues and the eventual structural problems, these are overpriced junk. Will not be buying these shoes or from Bass again.

Bass? Burlington Oxford and $30 Box
Too Handy for my own Good✓ Verified Purchase•March 29, 2016
These are cheap shoes...not sure if they're even actually Bass, based on the poor quality and sizing, which is at least a FULL SIZE TOO SMALL. Mine were 8.5, which is the size I wear. I had to return them: Note on returns to make absolutely sure no one in your household touches the box or packaging until you're sure they fit. Yes, I speak from the voice of experience. I did not have the box to return them. I paid $58 for the shoes and original shipping, $10 to return them to the seller. Got a refund for 29.99. because I did not have the original box. I get that....it's my fault about the box, but if you add this all up, I lost about $30 because of that. I won't order from this seller again.
The shoe looks nice. In fact
Kyle E. Kneisl✓ Verified Purchase•January 14, 2016
The shoe looks nice. In fact, there's nothing to complain about except one thing:
But I will tell you this straight: I have been buying size 11.5 shoes my entire adult life, and these are, bar none, the smallest 11.5 shoes I ever bought. After the first day, I had blisters on the backs of both ankles the size of a Volkswagen. The *SECOND* time I wore them, I had far less serious blisters. I think over time, maybe two more wearings, they will break in and finally stretch out to an ACTUAL size 11.5, but I'm here to tell you, if you would say "I normally take a size 9.5 or 10" or something like that, go ahead and get the 11, or at least the 10.5.

These have become my go-to casual shoes that I wear with jeans, khakis etc.

I was frankly surprised by these shoes. I have more formal/dressy/expensive saddle shoes by Allen Edmonds (Sheltons) and I will admit that these Bass shoes get as many, if not more, compliments.
These have become my go-to casual shoes that I wear with jeans, khakis etc. I wear them often, in all types of weather, and they are holding up remarkably well. If I was not so hard on them they would still look brand new, but even with my "abuse" they still look great. (I plan to buy two or three additional pairs to wear in rotation, so they will always look pristine.)
My only suggestion is to immediately put taps on the heels as it appears they will wear down quickly if you don't. Buy with confidence.
