It's in the ground, my goldfish is happy with his new home. As the product description states, it's very thin as far as pond liners go and must be coupled with a thick underlayment. I used remnant carpet padding bought from a local carpet store.
As long as this holds out for a while I'll likely be buying more to make tilapia grow out ponds.
