Very happy with this purchase! I use 6 to 8 threads combined to make a cotton 'yarn' for a custom color blend on crochet projects. The colors are rich and true tonthe photos online. Works up to a thickness similar to a heavy lace weight. I've noticed NO LINT from this product and it starches beautifully when I block my projects. I'm planning to by several other color sets to experiment with more color combos and ombre-style color changes.

I wasn't sure how well I would like this thread and had some problems using with my machine at first. The spool is too long to fit on my Viking Opal machines main spool holder but I found a separate spool holder near the bobbin winder that works well - I just need to remember which way to place the spool on the holder so that the thread flows off easily. I did have a problem getting the bobbin loaded and getting the machine threaded - I couldn't get the needle threader to work with this thread at all. I was frustrated but working with it I got through a learning curve and now we're good. I bought this thread several months ago and just finally got around to using it. I'm glad because I have my eye on several other sets of colors. I now feel confident I can go ahead and order more of this thread. I love the colors and it sewed well with no breaking and without the thread bunching up. So far, so good!

I did order again - I ordered Old Glory and Shorline sets. I'm pretty happy with this thread. Considering the price and quality, I'm going to order more sets. I think the next ones will be neutrals, salt and pepper and possibly Fruit Salad. I find the colors vivid and I've had good luck with using it in my machine. I found I was at error for most of my problems and once I had the needle threader repaired, it works great!

8/2019 Fast forward 2 years and I'm still loving this thread. I think I have almost every color they make in the 100% cotton. I like it for almost all of my sewing projects but especially for my machine quilting. I've made about 7 quilts from baby to twin size and have had no problem with this thread.

I took a chance with this brand to get a range of colors for an art quilt that was due in a few days, and Amazon could get it to me faster than the quilt stores could ship Aurafil. I'm very happy with the quality and color sets from this shop! Now I have a nice array of colors that work well as both/either top and bobbin threads. I was having thread tension troubles while free motion quilting on a Janome 9450mqc home machine, and thankfully this thread solved it in a pinch. My only request for improvement would be in the spools. The top of the spool is a little rough and the diameter is just a hair wider than an orange 50wt spool, making my machine's adapter/holder thingy push in a little farther into it than desired. This just means another second or two is required to position it for proper tension, but after that, I'm flying! Tip: as soon as you tear open the plastic seal, write the color name on the bottom of the spool with sharpie in case you need to reorder or use it again on the same project. You can find the color's number on the top of the spool, but the name is lost with the packaging.
Overall, very satisfied with this product. I bought 20+ spools.

I purchased this 100% cotton thread set by Connecting Threads for making my granddaughter summer clothes and I'm very pleased with the quality. I got the Fruit Salad set and the colors are even prettier than in the picture. Bright and saturated.

This weight is slightly thicker than Gutermann, the brand I often pick up at Joann's, so it works very well for top stitching and other decorative stitching. It stands out a little better.

This is 100% cotton thread made of long staple cotton, which reduces linting. It's mercerized to increase strength and give it a smooth luster. Because it is smooth, it runs beautifully through my Brother and Babylock machines. There is minimal linting and no issues with the winding. Even though these are high capacity spools, they fit fine on the regular spool holders on all of my machines. No need for a separate thread stand.

The quality is so good and the price is so appealing, I just ordered the set of white spools. It's great to find good quality thread that doesn't cost a fortune!
