I bought these to replace some really cheap machine heads on an inexpensive guitar my wife bought for our kids. The installation was a snap, they stay in tune great and it made a really awful guitar very playable. I also replaced the bridge pins, which made a big difference as well. Item arrived on-time and well packaged. The only snag was I had to re-set the screws on the back of the head of the guitar, which wasn't too onerous since the supplied screws were of high enough quality that I only had to drill a tiny starter hole for them.

Upgraded the tuners on a Chinese D-18 knockoff acoustic guitar that was recently given to me. The tuners that came with that guitar were truly terrible - practically unusable. The tuners I'm reviewing here, however, are fantastic, especially for the price! Dead on accurate, smooth turning with precise control. Compare very favorably with a set of similar Grover tuners I added to another guitar that cost more than twice as much.

I received my tuners and they were well packaged. They had individual compartments within the box. There was also a small piece of "tape" on each tuner which ensured there were no scratches. Each tuner installed onto my yamaha with no issues. My only complaint is that the tuning keys did not all turn with the same smoothness I was hoping for. A couple had more resistance to turning while some were very easy to turn. This proved to not be and issue because all strings are on and tuning went great. If they were supposed to be installed in specific locations then there were no instructive material to specify. The tuners seem to stay where you leave them so the guitar is tuned and staying that way. Lastly, they have a great look! I definitely recommend these tuners.

Great tuners! Used them in a guitar I purchased used (Washburn WIN-DLX) where the previous tuners were beaten up / hard to turn. These tuners are smooth to turn and easy to install. Was a tight fit in this guitar but not an issue now that everything is installed and set up.
