I was a little nervous about this palette as excited as I was for these colors due to my age (I'm 47). I can easily say I am sure this will be one of my favorite pallettes. The colors are absolutely gorgeous, unique, highly blendable and soft, and a slam dunk perfect pallette for fall. At my age, I can't and don't want to pull off glitter or very "grunge" looks! I am able to use these colors with a softer touch and still achieve beautiful and more natural results. My favorite is creating a soft brown/pink/crranberry eye. I can wear this professionally with a soft toned down touch and still just a bit more for evening if desired. If you are a more mature woman, please don't allow the word "grunge" to deter you from this gorgeous pallete of high quality shadows!

I actually bought the gift pack that came with both Venus palettes. I was worried at first about the makeup not only being legit but also the pigmentation. To my wonderful surprise they are not only legit but also so incredibly pigmented. As a black female, finding eye shadows that not only show up but pop is difficult. I'm so glad that I took a chance and got it.

Every shade in this palette is amazing.
I haven't done anything too dramatic yet. Lime Crime pigments are amazing and fixes on so well. The lipstick in this picture is also Lime crime from the Red rose tin velvetins.
