Bought a white and a red one as a gift. Because of reviews about an odor when they were taken out of the package, I had them sent to me. Yes, there was an odor--smelled of fish! I shook them out and left on the kitchen counter over night. Odor completely gone the next morning. I now have them in a gift box ready to give.
Because of the odor, I would hesitate to send them directly to a child.

This tutu was much prettier in person than online. The color is vibrant and the tutu is full. You will need some type of leggings underneath. I ordered for a 5 year old which is on the smaller/petite side and it fit perfectly, the length was perfect as well. Tutu is very good quality and the elastic waistband will allow her to wear as she grows. At this price I will be ordering in more colors.

I was a little disappointed after seeing so many positive reviews on this skirt. It is cute, but I have two complaints about it. First, it stinks. I'm airing it out in hopes that it will go away, but I'm not sure why it would smell fishy. Second, there is no tag or anything to show that it is new. I don't think it is used, but I bought it as a gift and it looks like I could have just pulled it out of a closet (instead of buying it). I wouldn't care if it were not a gift, but just fair warning to anyone who is looking to buy this as a gift.

I bought this as part of my six-year old's Halloween costume. She's going as the solar system/space, so the stars on this skirt were perfect. I couldn't have purchased fabric and made a skirt for less than the cost of this one (very reasonable). It fits my daughter great; she's a 6/6X (wears true to age). I wouldn't expect this to hold up long-term as a play outfit, but it's certainly no worse than any princess dress. It's perfect for what I wanted it for. She's very excited! (I am too, truth be told!)
