Well constructed, but will not unlatch if there is any pressure on the gate. I was hoping the door would pop open when activated, but even a slight amount of pressure and it will not open on it's own. Probably best suited for internal doors without any weather seal.

Seller was just amazing to work with. I bought 4 of these, 3 of them worked fine but 1 was defective. I was in the middle of construction on my business so I didn't get around to installing them for several months. When I found that one wasn't working right I thought I was going to be out of luck, but the seller was incredible and shipped out a new one for me right away even though it had been so long. Very happy with their service! Also the product works great, it's very well made, nice and heavy duty. Should last for a long time.

The items works fine so far. Note that it doesn't not make a "click' sound as other reviews mentioned, it makes a buzz sound. If you are looking for a silent strike this is not it.
