Best jacket, craftsmanship is unbeatable for threading.

I would buy this jacket 10 times over. Spacious, comfy, warm, super stylish. Get complimented whenever I go somewhere, not what I expect or aim for when in public settings, but it happened often. When I tell them the price they cant believe it. To me it was pricey, to them cheap. I weigh 240 lbs, and went sledding numerous times with this on, as well as hiking through thorny forest, not even a snag of thread, I absolutely love it for the thorns. It has a very tight knit threading, with a sheen over it that seems to glue the threading down to make it slick and tough. One downfall was the plastic string fastener, came broken, I just pulled string to tightness I needed it to be, then tied string in a knot to hold tension around waist, now I never need to readjust!

I was really nervous buying these, at half to a forth the price of Colombia or North Face, I rolled the dice and won! I was the envy of my entire family on our recent ski trip! Especially after they asked me the price! Pockets, pockets, pockets with large durable zippers not to mention I didn't need any of my under garments to keep warm. Day one I was layered to the hilt, day two it was just me and my Arctix Tundra Jacket and matching Bib!
I'm usually really good at finding the negatives in most things, I guess I could complain that they weren't free!

My favorite jacket/coat I've ever owned.

Very warm. I have never had an issue with rain or snow and I have to work outdoors at nights sometimes in temperatures that can reach less than 10 degrees on occasion. Is even warmer if you do proper layering underneath it.
Seems to be well built, I've had mine for a few months and nothing is breaking on it. One minor annoyance is that the hood is a zip-off hood and after a few days of not using the hood and leaving it down the zipper will start to undo itself, but this only takes a few seconds to re-zip and it stays firmly in place if you actually wear the hood. The hood comes down in front of your face a bit farther than most other jackets which really helps with reducing the amount of rain or snow that gets in your face.
Looks really nice, I've had compliments on it, people ask me where I bought it, and people ask to borrow it while they go outside because it was that much warmer than their jackets.
It has a LOT of pockets which is something I really enjoy, 4 large pockets on the outside with 2 outside hand pockets, and 2 zip pockets and a velcro pocket on the inside.
Just beware that this jacket is so warm if you end up having to wear it indoors you will be sweating within just a few minutes!

Warning: Same broken drawstring component on two jackets!

Buyer beware. I have ordered this jacket twice. I really liked the jacket and it is warm and comfortable. But the first jacket had a broken drawstring component. So I sent it back and ordered a replacement which I had to expedite delivery because I needed this for a ski trip. Second jacket arrived with the exact same component broken. Other users reported the same problem. I'm returning this one also. Poor quality and the seller doesn't seem to care.
Okay coat, trash toggles
Mark S.✓ Verified Purchase•November 19, 2016
Not as insulated as I had hoped for and as others have stated, the toggles for the hood waist,/bottom are trash, busted open on the ends with the springs falling out everywhere. It's stiff, but I haven't washed it yet. It seems like a decent coat, quality material and the stitching seems good. The fit is spot on with other coats/jackets I have bought in the past and the sleeves are just the right length. Other than the toggle issue which makes the hood and waist/bottom useless it's an okay coat for more temperate climates (30-50 degrees). I wouldn't think it would keep you very warm below 30 degrees without a few layers, something I was looking for. I'll keep it since returns cost more than the product in most cases and see if I can find replacement toggles for at least the hood. In the future I'll pay more attention to the negative reviews.
