The first one lasted two seasons on an e30 325i. The second died in 6 months. I just take the battery out now and use a good old fashioned charger in the house. There could be a build quality issue I'm not sure.

Besides working perfectly it is easy to make connections

Besides working perfectly it is easy to make connections with the built coupling setup. I leave one end hooked up to the battery and use the built in coupling to disconnect when needed.
