Works great for wigs

I recently did the big chop and needed to secure my wigs being that I can't use bobby pins anymore. I measured my band from ear to ear with pressure and then cut off 1 inch. After sewing the band on both sides of the wig and trying it on, it gave me a secure fit. I then used bobby pins to apply the bottom portion of the wig to the band. It's a perfect fit.
Those of you who know how to use a sewing machine could easily do the same thing and make the repair look ...

I needed this elastic to replace a worn out piece on a recoil-reducing shoulder pad that I have had for over 20 years. It was a simple matter to remove the worn out elastic with a seam ripper, cut a new piece of elastic off the roll, and use a large needle and heavy thread to hand stitch the new piece in place. Those of you who know how to use a sewing machine could easily do the same thing and make the repair look professional.

I like this product but I feel I ordered too wide for making wigs (which was my sole purpose for purchasing this product). I also felt the product was a little stiffer than I preferred for my purposes. But, I felt like it was a quality product and could be perfect for other projects. I will keep it for back up for sure.

It has nice stretch, but it's messy. The cut ends fray badly - not just unravel, but shed hairy fibers. For my projects, it's too messy. Won't buy again.
