You must deflate the tire before installing. It's best to have the tire off of the ground so you can pull the straps over the tire lugs. After re-inflating the tire these rubber tire chains fit like a glove.
Good option to chains

went an entire winter season without them breaking. I did have to add some additional bungees to get them snug. No damage to the tires of the pavement. Exceeded my expectations on ice but still not chains.
Didn't like it. Rough ride.

High quality, but made for a rough ride on our zero turn mower. Returned.

Not the same aggressive traction as chains, but worked. Saved the top seal coating on the driveway, which was the main purpose of the purchase.

Purchased product for winter use, but not enough snow to test this year. Haven't used them yet. Installation was straight forward and fairly easy. Fit for my tire size was a little big. Had to cut one link off each chain in order to make them fit tighter. Product appears well made and should last a long time with my limited use. One comment I have regarding fit is to make sure you have enough clearance to run these ... my lawn tractor (Grasshopper mower with front mount deck) has weight distribution springs located close to the inside sidewall of each drive tire, and I had to make sure the chains were very tight in order to have enough clearance. In my opinion, you need 2-3 inches of wheel well and inside axle clearance to run these without issues.
