These little lights are a great value. I bought 22 and all but 1 worked fine out of the box. One had a short, so I got a replacement.
I used them for creating my own exterior lighting. Most went inside some custom 4x4 cedar posts that I hollowed out (I had to remove the light bracket to make them fit), and some were used with the included brackets to make simple spotlights. The housing is aluminum and the front glass and rear cable access are sealed with gaskets.
I bought the "cool white" color to match my interior "daylight" colored lights. These match great, so I would say they are near the 5500K color temperature. The wires are pre-tinned, but the exposed wires are very short and I think the solder they used was crappy. I had to expose more wire and I used a higher quality lead-less solder.
I expect many years of faithful function out of these lights.
