I bought these to use for hiking with my poles. I needed something that would not add a lot of weight to the pack. The pair weighs a mere 1.09 ounces, so it fits the bill. I like the fact that the fabric comes down further on the fingers than cycling gloves. Almost to the end of the fingertip. And the material goes pretty far back on the wrist, which I like.... gives protection from the sun. There is not much difference in size between the large and medium. I got the medium and then ordered the large. Will keep both pairs. The fabric seemed to loosen slightly once I used them for about an hour with my poles. They are not too tight but I definitely would not want them any tighter.

These are wonderful. I've been using them for about 2 years. I have pretty painful osteoarthritis of the thumbs and knuckle joints. I put on a rub on icy hot type med and then pull these on each night before bed. This has almost stopped my waking up with hand joint pain (along with ibuprofen, too). In the winter, I wear them during the day at work during the winter months when the cold especially affects my joints. These have been a lifesaver. I keep two pairs and rotate them. So far, each pair seems to last about a year with daily use. I'm sure longer if you aren't wearing them daily. VIVE products are just top notch.

So far so good. I only wear these at night so long term wear I cannot say. I started working out at gym and noticed my fingers were swollen every morning so I tried these. Hands feel much better than they didnefote

Honestly one of the most beneficial purchases I have ever made! My hands are the most seriously affected extremity by Raynaud's and Rheumatoid arthritis; these gloves were suggested by my nurse practitioner. I purchased one pair in November 2016; I wore them until they had unrepairable holes! Even though there were holes in the gloves, the material of the fingers never waivered and maintained the pressure I needed to keep the swelling at bay. I really wish that I had taken a picture of them to post, because they looked like scarecrow gloves (lol), however I can assure you that I DID NOT toss them until I received my new shipment!!
I ordered 3 pair this time; one specifically for wearing while sleeping, and the other 2 pairs for daily use. I wear them under my work gloves to help maintain stability of my hands and to keep the swelling down. Seriously, I don't know how I ever went without them...but I'll never go without them again!!!

One request.... Would love to see you incorporate something for grip on finger tips; the gloves are so soft and smooth, I tend to drop things a lot.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well these worked. My hands are often very swollen and painful. So far these have done an excellent job keeping the swelling and pain to a minimum. I'll warn you that they run pretty small. I would have given 5 stars but I wish they were tighter around the wrist area. Very tight on fingers and loose around my wrist.
