Great product and great customer service

I'm a wildland fire fighter and I use this product on my 48 oz HDP Nalgene bottle. I have 4 of the Nalgene bottles and I utilize the hydration straw for when I need a drink while on the move. On my breaks I drink from the other bottles. Typically, I will have to refill the bottle with the hydration straw once during the day.
I do suggest that you get the bite valve vs. the push pull valve. The push pull valve leaks but the bite valve solves this problem. I bought that from the Source Tactical website direct.
The hydration straw is a bit long but for me it works because I can tuck it into my waist strap on my line pack. I put the straw through the red loop on the back support. I also have a velcro strap that I use to secure the straw on my shoulder strap. (see pictures)
This product is durable and easy to clean. I just put all of the components in a bucket with warm water and light soap and stir it around then rinse well.
In addition to this being a great product, their customer service is top notch. I had lost the silicone breather and I e-mailed them about that and Shahar sent me 2 to replace the one that I lost at no charge! I also read a review where someone had a problem with an O-ring and they were sent one also at no charge. Great durable product and great customer service. I highly recommend this product and company.

Works great except one basic thing is missing.

I drive a bus and it's really hard to pull out a water container and take a sip while I'm driving, I thought this would help solve my problem. It would have been nice to just put this on a bag and let it hang near my shoulder for a quick sip when I'm trying to stay hydrated. The problem is, with the large mouth it doesn't seal very well. I tipped it over after noticing there wasn't a rubber seal at the top near where a bottle lip would rest against the plastic, so it leaks.
I think this is a great idea, but the lack of a seal makes it kind of a pain in the ass. I'm thinking I'll have to find some kind of way or purchase a soft rubber seal to put into the space, but really this should be one of those things the designers of this product thought about when they were designing it.
For the most part, I like it. But I'm subtracting 2 stars because of this obvious design flaw and the fact that because of this, I might not be able to use it for the purpose I purchased it for unless I can find a rubber washer which will fit into the indention wear the lip of the bottle meets the cap.

Wide Mouth Hard Bottle durability/function with Hydration System convenience

This is pretty awesome! In college I worked as a backcountry guide, doing a lot of wilderness camping. All of us guides used wide mouth nalgenes, and would insist that our guests also carry at least one as well, even if their CamelBak/water bladder could hold more water. This is because the Nalgenes were more dependable, easier to keep clean, and easier to use with our water filtration systems than water bladders.
This Source Tactical product brings the best of both worlds. It allows the use of the Nalgenes (of which I've collected over a dozen) and gives the convenience of the hydration tube! (Of which I was always a little jealous of).
My one caution is the little gasket (pictured). If you pull the straw all the way out and try to reinsert without popping the hose off to make sure it is seated correctly you can lose the gasket in the tubing, and without the gasket the suction/straw doesn't work properly. Fortunately a common O-ring size (1/4" interior, 3/8" exterior) works quite well and can be found most places for fairly inexpensive.
Shout-out to Source Tactical, I emailed them last night and they emailed me back today offering to send me a couple of the gaskets (blue picture is from Source Tactical). I've only seen one other company putting out a product like this one, and I like the innovation!

No Flow Fix - 1/4 turn mouth piece counter-clockwise and pull to drink
Erik E. Olson✓ Verified Purchase•December 8, 2023
Great little kit, couldn't figure out the mouth piece at first having no flow. It was locked closed in line with the notches on the green tip and the dots on the brown coupling. The brown coupling on mine swivels infinite either direction with the green mouth piece tip. Hold the "brown coupling with the dots/bumps" with one hand, turn green-notched-tip 1/4 counter-clockwise with the other and pull/lift to open. Now you can get flow through the straw. Cap will close the valve and gentle pull with teeth to reopen, or finger twist 1/4-turn clockwise to lock.
Close but not exactly what I was looking for

I haven't had a chance to field test this product yet and this review covers my first impressions of testing this produce for my use case. I purchased this produce with a specific use case in mind, attaching to my hydrapak stow 1L water bottles. The hydrapak bottles have a 28mm lid and are compatible with portable water filters that also fit nalgene bottles. However this kit leaks when fit on my hydrapak bottles. I give 4 start because it does come with a wide mouth lid that securely fits my nalgene bottle. No leaks on the nalgene, but the hydrapak leaks...
