Very nice quality for a cheap price.

Compared to other near identical tops seen in the marketplace, this is a great value for the money. It spins a long time with little effort. The machining of the top is what you would expect. Very smooth. It's not shiny, but does have a nice finish. The packaging makes it nice for a gift, but who would give one of these as a gift? Really? I would have rather it come in a plastic bag and knock a buck or two off the price. Even though I find this top a great buy compared to similar products, the whole 'spin forever' top fad is way overpriced. Saying that, I'd recommend this top over any of the others.
It spins for about 2 min. Good distraction.

I bought this on a whim. I saw an ad for a $400 top that looks just like this. I was intrigued and came over to Amazon to see if I can find a Chinese knock off. I think the really expensive ones are engineered to spin for hours. This one spins for a couple minutes. Good enough for me. My 10yo pretty much stole it from me so I may have to buy another one :-). Note that it is very small. The diameter at the widest point is about the size of a quarter.

This makes for the perfect gift. It is so small and well made. Comes in a great tin that keeps it safe. I was going to buy one of the more expensive tops that was up to $50, but when I saw the great price of this one + the overwhelming reviews, I decided to go for it. So glad I did. Bought these as gifts for the guys in my family to have on their desk at work.
Price is cheap enough, but product is so-so. Would likely buy something more expensive next time.

I bought this because the overall score was good, and it came in a nice tin. The price was cheap, and thus I'm not surprised at the product quality.
The spinning top is machined decent enough, though has a couple of minor imperfections that I can deal with (a slight blemish, and a slight scuff). It doesn't spin that long....I cant seem to get it longer than 25 seconds. And I believe the balance/eveness of the top may have something to do with it. In other words, I'm not sure that the top was machined evenly all around. Either that or I am a terrible spinner. Also, my top did not have "INCEPTION" etched on the bottom like some others have stated.
The die is pretty cheap, and the kind I expect that comes in a pack of party favors at the dollar store. Its super cheap looking, and feeling, and is not loaded. Despite what other reviews have said, the die I got had no weight at all.
All in all, I would go with a different product next time. A bit disappointed with this.

Giving 3 stars because the case it comes with was damage! The seller didn't pack it correctly so the mail of course would don't care and when I opened the case was bended! Other that the totem is in good conditions and it seems to work so so!
