SureGuard makes the best mattress ENCASEMENTS: high quality construction, cotton (not plastic which will tear), tight seams (so the little creeps can't penetrate your mattress), and a velcro tab that covers the zipper for extra impenetrability. See my detailed review at SureGuard's pillow encasement. After my HORRIFIC bedbug experience (pest control men will tell you BB's are the WORST pest and the hardest to eradicate) I will ONLY buy SureGuard products. They're that good and saved my son's expensive mattress from a tossing. (Please note there is a *significant* difference between a mattress COVER and a mattress ENCASEMENT. You want the encasement.)

We were super unlucky and my apartment had a bug infestation (building is over 100 yrs with cracks along the trim), our landlord wasn't spraying the building until he heard complaints from tenants. We had carpet beetles and this mattress cover helped us with peace of mind. It seems breathable and comfortable as well. We had a wedding coming up and buying a brand new mattress wasn't in the cards. A good purchase all around, I would even purchase this item if I had a brand new mattress to keep it in pristine condition. Highly recommend!
