It's better looking, too

I now own two of these retractable hose reels. The first reel has been working well for over 8 years. You will appreciate how well the hose retracts when you want it to. And it's much easier to operate than those hand crank units. It's better looking, too.
Five Stars

The reel came totally assembled install bracket for your application, and use the unit. Works very well.
Pretty cool product. Pretty nice, but not perfect. I am happy but not quite 5 stars

Pretty interesting product. I guess it really works! (I was doubtful). But I cannot say it is a powerful rewind. It has moderate pressure pulling back the hose until about the last 6-10 feet, where you then have to baby it a bit. Pretty nice, but not perfect. I am happy but not 5 stars. Installation was pretty painless and it is really solid. I'm impressed with how it mounts.
Just OK...

It works OK, but it doesn't rewind on its own very well. The hose gets bound up inside it before it fully retracts. I've found if I let the pressure out of the hose first it helps some. It the plastic case were just one inch bigger, this may work great, but it isn't... I find myself fighting with it to get it retracted at least half the time I use it. The hose gets very flexible when using warmer water (around 115F max) and kinks easily. For the price, I'm somewhat disappointed in this product.
Probably seemed worse because there was basically no updates on order status ...

Another reviewer noted slow delivery time and they were accurate. Since I suspected it would take a while I remained patient. Probably seemed worse because there was basically no updates on order status at all. Then one day notification that it shipped and bam - it was at the door!

Have used it all summer for washing cars, cleaning the garage, floors, etc. Has worked very well. Just be sure you remove or open your spray nozzle and drain the water before you reel it up.

Also pay close attention to the dimensions. It's bigger than I expected, but was still able to mount it over my slop sink in my garage.

2/24/16 Update.

Closing in on my 2 year anniversary and still pleased with the unit. I did have a problem with the recoil device due to a couple of screws coming loose. Was a quick fix to put the "spool" back into position and tighten it up.

The hose on this unit is somewhat soft and can kink easier than some hoses. That's a necessary evil as it does need to stay soft so it can recoil. Also, some users may expect this to zip the hose back into the housing and I suppose it can with adjustment of the spring tension. I have not bothered to tighten the spring though it retracts a bit slower now than when new. I didn't tighten it because I don't want to accelerate spring fatigue and I also don't want the thing to "zip" through my garage banging into cars and scratching things up. I simply hand guide it back into the housing as it picks it up at it's own pace. I also typically use a wet rag to clean dirt off the hose as it retracts.
