My 21mo old son loves this! He is the typical constantly moving boy. However, the stringing beads kept him entertained!!!

My 21mo old son loves this! He is the typical active, never wanting to slow down boy. However, the stringing beads kept him entertained for 20min (which is a lot for him). Whenever he sees the orange bag that comes with to store him he get so excited and wants to play with them. Perfect activity to help with fine gross motor skills, attention span, and to get active boys to play quietly for a little. Nothing I would say needs changing for this product! Love it!
We love them! Please maybe consider doubling the beads given

My son has Autism. He struggles with buttons and zippers buckles etc. We were given the option to do home therapy to improve his fine motor skills with grip strength and pinch strengthening exercises. These beads are wonderful! My son Liam loves to string them and he loves the bright colors and makes patterns with them. I liked that it came with a little drawstring tote as well for the strings and beads. I liked the size of them not too big and not too small and the different shapes of them instead of being completely round. I gave 4 starts because The only thing I wished is that there were a little more beads that came in the bag because my son loves trying to also make things from them as well so it's 2 things in one for him and he enjoys it it doesn't seem like he's working on anything just playing and using his imagination in both patterns and making things with them and I thought a great thing to mention is that the customer would probably enjoy double the beads given. Other than that they are great!
Good beading set for OT purposes

My 3-year-old son's OT said that he was having a hard time in stringing beads, so I bought these so we could practice at home. It's a basic enough set -- 5 colors, 6 beads of each color (not all colors have all bead shapes, though -- it's not a bad thing, but just stating it in case you're looking for 5 triangle beads or whatever), and two strings with plastic tips at each end. I tied a double-knot at the end of each of the strings, just to keep the beads on there, which worked fine. He seemed to have an easy enough time in stringing the beads (with the help of resting the beads on the table in the beginning). I'm also glad it comes with a bag to keep all the beads & strings together when not in use. The hardest part about him using the set is just making sure that he picks up any pieces that he drops, otherwise his ever-curious baby sister will choke on them, but the set is durable enough that I can totally see her using the set when she gets bigger! :)

I am an occupational therapist and I purchased this product for my pre-school aged students. The beads are a good size and the string has a nice aglet to lead into the beads. This product comes with two laces and a carrying bag. There a lot of beads to work on patterns, pincer grasp, and bilateral coordination. The only minor difficulty I had was that the beads slip off of you don't tie the knot on the end several times. All in all, I would absolutely purchase this product again.

This item appears to be made well and should work just fine for my children to work on their fine motor activities. My only complaint, and it's just in my opinion, is I wish the string was a little thicker. I currently need to knot up one side of it, so they can work on putting the beads on easier in order they don't fall right off the other side. It takes a few knots to get it big enough to stop the beads and it's slightly thin for the age I'm using it with. I may look at just buying a thicker string for the time being but otherwise it's a good product.
