This worked great when I got it in January
H.H.•March 18, 2017
This worked great when I got it in January, however after 2 and a half months it has stopped spinning. It will lock when you push down and twist clockwise, but when I unlock it it will no longer spin. I had high hopes that this spinner would be different and last awhile. Guess I was wrong.
Top of the line salad spinner!

Look no further....this salad spinner is A+++++! Easy to use, nice looking and has a pour spout. My old spinner would shake, rattle and roll so this was a huge step up for me. Has great stability and you can spin with 1 or 2 hands. Pop up feature has you push up and down with ease. I'm so happy with this salad spinner. Thanks for making my life easier in the kitchen! Bonus tip.....this is kid friendly!!
Great Salad Spinner!

This salad spinner is a more efficient, stream-lined version of the original salad spinners of years ago. The spinner comes with simple directions that have pictures to illustrate how to use it properly. The bowl holds a lot- I put two whole heads of cut up romaine in it. The bowl sits on a pedestal that elevates the bowl when spinning is needed. You just push down on the bowl to get it spinning and there is a button in the middle that serves as a brake to stop the basket when you're finished. Push down and twist the bowl to lock the spinner back in place and then you can pour the water out easily, without have to remove the lettuce. The bowl holds quite a bit of water, eliminating the need to pour it out before entirely finished. Overall, it's very sturdy and attractive. It is compact and less bulky than those I've had in the past. I'm able to store it in the narrow cabinet above my refrigerator when not in use. I'm very pleased with the Progressive Salad Spinner and enjoy the simplicity of use and time saving cleaning of my greens when preparing salads.
Beautiful with Convenient Functions

First, I have to say that this is the most beautiful salad spinner I have ever seen. Very clean lines, the clear outside with gray strainer is very classy looking.
But, I love it for more than its good looks. It is designed such that you can use it with one hand. Once the lettuce is chopped and washed in the strainer, put the cover on. Press down and twist with one hand to unlock the spinning function. With one hand you press up and down to spin the water out. When you want it to stop, you press down harder with the same hand applying pressure to the center, the "brake", which stops the spinning and automatically locks the bowl back in place.
The cover allows you to pour the water out without having to remove the strainer and also prevents the lettuce from falling out. You can store the lettuce in the fridge as is. Because of its streamlined design it is not exceptionally bulky in the fridge.

Top Drawer Salad Spinner

My favorite attribute is the water reservoir.I soak fresh picked lettuce in cold water then fill the spinner bowl and spin. I have had spinners that you have to empty the water bowl before the process is finished. The PL8 spinner allows you to fill the bowl and complete the process in one step. Comes apart for ease of cleaning, no place for molds to hide. Easy to dry and store.
