Relatively quiet but still noisy at best. Doesn't have an adjustment on the side for half sizes and mine came with two of the same guards. Guards measure in mm - 3-6-9-12. I do like the small size to navigate around my son's little ears.

This is great. My 4 year old is no longer scared to get his hair cut! It's very quiet & cuts quickly without any problem. Plenty of charge & recharges fine. No complaints here. I would recommend.

After two uses, it's dead. I tried to charge it, after 24 hours, the unit was hot, but still dead. Since it can't be used often, when you found out it's a trash, the return window is closed. Waste of money.
