Great connectors. But don't solder.
DaveJune 13, 2018
These are awesome connectors. They are robust, solid, and form a very tight connection to the battery. Several individuals that know cars have looked under my hood and made a point to mention that these connectors look and feel great. In my opinion they are far superior to the steel band clamps that come OEM on many vehicles.

A word of caution... DO NOT SOLDER the copper lugs onto your battery cables. These are crimp lugs, and crimp lugs are designed to be crimped, not soldered. Soldering will eventually cause your battery cables to break off, or worse, partially break causing a high resistance point that can lead to fire. The correct way to install the lugs onto your battery cables is to use a hydraulic crimper or a hammer-anvil type. The hydraulic crimper will form the best connection, but the hammer-anvil type is cheaper and will work fine for someone who only has to install these types of lugs once. Simply search Amazon for lug crimper.
Great upgrade compared to most any factory option.

These are a huge upgrade over just about anything else factory out there, and if you have extra accessory wiring direct to the battery they do a much cleaner and more secure job of it than standard terminals. In the past I've bought batteries with side and top posts to use the side posts for accessories but the problem is these days the side posts are not made very well and the threads strip over time if they are used often even if you are careful. They are quite a bit more secure, and made of harder material than standard terminals, they still conform to the post very well but you can actually tighten them without worrying about splitting the clamp as many cheaper options have issues with if they are used frequently.

The only thing to be aware of is that these are large terminals and with some batteries you may only be able to mount them in one direction which can limit the options for installation and possibly require additional re-wiring. This was the case with my S10 blazer where the negative side of the battery is partly tucked under the rolled fender where it meets the hood. The factory negative wire comes across the top of the battery at an angle to the post, however with my battery these clamps had to be positioned 90 degrees to the length of the battery (My X2 Power battery had a recessed area for the clamp but due to the extra size of these clamps there was no ability to rotate it unless it was higher than the recessed area on the battery which would then compromise the clamping to the post) so I had to re-wire the negative wire for some extra length and it complicates getting the negative clamp and accessories on/off. That's more of a battery/application specific issue than a knock against the product it's just something to be aware of.
Fantastic terminals!

I used these for a dual battery in my Avalanche 2500 and they are in a totally different class when you look at other terminals. These are beefy and just about bombproof. The shrink tubing is a very nice bonus and I used them for the 0/1ga cables and couldn't be happier. I'll be buying another set shortly to replace the two that I had to buy as a temp fix.

I bought another set to get rid of the "marine universal" ones that I had and absolutely hated. These are light years a head of the ones you can buy from the parts store. Sorry but I'm trusting two thin bands of steel to handle 300 amps from my 12k winch.

Perfect for retrofits or just to clean the engine bay up.

I will be buying these again, they worked great on my 1974 Scamp. I wanted to update the electrical system and this allowed me to do the "big 3 upgrade" while getting rid of the antiquated, and dangerous ammeter. The charging system works better than it ever has and the headlights are amazingly bright now.
