Took a chance to see if this would fit my treadmill model. The Horizon replacement would have cost $29. This magnet fit the area but would not turn on the machine. I have a strong magnet in a flashlight we have and that one will make it function so I know the treadmill works. Others said this worked on theirs, but I found the magnet to be very weak. Before I spend $29, I'll see if I can purchase just a strong magnet at a hardware store.

My toddler walked away with - and lost - the original magnet / clip thing that came with my HealthWalker treadmill I bought from SportMart a decade ago. An ordinary magnet activated the treadmill in a test (but wasn't safe to use permanently) so I knew a generic substitute would do. I was worried that the size of the magnet would be too big or small for the spot it fits into, but it's fine and the treadmill operates normally with this one. The clip is better than the original one, which just had a slit to slip a shirt into. The old clip didn't work with sports bras or some shorts very well. This clip attaches sturdily to everything I've tried it with so far. I guess it was serendipitous that my son lost the original one.

Definitely not universal, but if I had measured treadmill's recessed magnetic switch opening, I'd have known that. I'll use the clip, which is what had broken on mine. For the record, my treadmill is a BodyGuard Champlain and needed a 1.5mm (strong) magnet. Like me, it's old, but still running like a champ. Wait, only the treadmill still runs. Doh! Nevermind.

What a deal, such a great price for a product that works perfectly fine. It's not the perfect size for our treadmill, however it works fine and is a third the cost of others. I would buy again and recommend to anyone. I can use my treadmill and if it gets lost again, we have a toddler and a dog, I don't feel bad having to re order.

Ok, I don't "love" it but there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I managed to lose the one that went to our machine and needed a cheap option. This worked perfectly from the start. It's plastic, but so was the original one. It's red, so it stands out. Maybe I won't lose this one as easily. I have no complaints.
