Do not get water on these clips! When water was run on these clips, the color wore off and the teeth of the comb became rugged which made the clips impossible to use!

I don't know but I love these kind of banana clips because you can separate the combs and interlock them the way you want to do it. I defintely think it is worth the buy, because you have more control than with the regular banana clips.
