I love Dr. Bronner products and I even read the motivational text the company plasters all over it's products with enjoyment. This toothpaste is made of quality ingredients. No flouride which is a non-starter for my wife and I. And it tastes good, great texture, foams up nicely in the mouth without turning you into a rabid dog. But...the flavor does not really remind me much of anise, which is a licoricey taste. So a mild disappointment there.
Other toothpastes like mint and spearmint from Dr. Bronner have good strong minty tastes and I like them both. This one just doesn't quite deliver on the anise.

The flavor is very thin and pasty. I like the no fluoride but didn't like the texture as it feels like you're not really brushing your teeth. No real mint flavor.
