I find this thermometer to be really inaccurate. I was at urgent care today for fever and compared its readings to the hospital's. It gave me a normal reading the first time and the next two times a reading over 100. Hospital said it was 98.6. That's a really big discrepancy. I get that thermometers have a discrepancy, but the booklet says it's .4 degrees, and yet it gives vastly different readings even when testing straight in a row. And the instructions tell you to take the temp 3 times and then go with the one that's the highest. I just gave up and ordered one of the super expensive thermometers they use in the hospital because this is too big a deal to get this wrong.

I dragged my feet for a while before replacing my tried-and-true thermometer at home. Some reviews suggested that the accuracy of the Kinsa products might not be that great. But I tested this side by side with my own thermometer and haven't looked back since starting to use it. It was especially helpful for tracking the progression fevers during flu season. No more struggling to remember temperatures for the doctor or looking for post-its to jot the info down. Now it's all in the app.

Where do you even start with something this amazing?! We needed a new thermometer for our two year old daughter and the one on the way and heard about this product. We've barely had it a week and it already came in handy. The app is probably the coolest feature about this thermometer. It is user friendly and easy to understand. The fact that I don't have to take notes or keep track of temperatures and all the different symptoms is enough to make me want to tell anyone and everyone about this product. This app does all of that for you, down to the very minute you took the temperature and recorded the symptoms, to the medications you administered, to even adding photos, reminders, and notes. How cool is that?
When you download the app you are able to set up different user profiles so you can keep track of each individual separately. Parenting just got a little bit easier knowing we have a tool to help us keep track of our sick kids. It's already hard enough parenting when your kid is sick, but this helps to keep track of everything the doctor will want to know, when you feel like you've barely gotten any sleep because you're worried about how they're doing. The thermometer itself is easy to use and ridiculously fast! I have never used a thermometer that feels like it gives you a reading instantly. No more having to beg your child to sit still so you can get a quick reading. I promise you can't go wrong in ordering this product. It's nothing short of amazing and I am so glad to have had a friend tell us about it.

I had great hopes for this device but I have shelved it as a useless product and waste of money. The readings are inconsistent and random. I tried taking my temperature back-to-back in both ears on multiple occasions. Each time I took a total of six readings, alternating them between each ear (3 readings per ear). The results were all over the place. Either I had a below-average temperature or else I had a fever over 100. One time, I actually received a standard reading of 98.6. I even tried this on another person, with the same, terrible results. I read the instructions and followed them closely. This product is not worth the money.

It absolutely makes no sense why a thermometer you use in your ear makes any beeps at all. Claiming it can be used on a sleeping baby is just misleading. I know every child is different but the beeps are too loud to use on someone sleeping and too loud to just use, in my opinion. After using it on my 2 year old for the first time, she told me it was too loud. I'm close to breaking this open and unwiring the sound circuit. Extremely disappointed and I don't even want to use it more to know if it is accurate or not. We have had it less than 2 hours and I couldn't be more upset about the beeping.
