I love this product, the pack stays cold for more than 10 minutes and it does not take long to freeze... it is definitely necessary to put a small thin cloth in between the skin and pack as it may cause ice burns.

These are jelly soft and comfortable for a touch-sensitive injury such as a broken bone. I tried the hard cube type cold packs and just was not workable for me. These provided the relief I needed. The pack will freeze in about 1 hour when completely thawed.

Works well as a heating made, but the logo isn't actually printed on the outside of the pack, it's printed on a piece of semi stiff plastic within the gel. Unfortunately that piece of plastic somehow got scrunched up and is now stuck crumpled on one half. But I guess it still works as a heating pad.
Better than rice in a sock

I use it as a hot pack, heat it in the microwave for 50 sec and wrap in a thin towel and it's good to go. People suggested rice (not minute) in a sock and I bought the rice but lost it so went with the gel pack. I was afraid getting the rice into the sock would be messy anyway. The pack is easy to use and I warms my hurting back nicely. I imagine using it as a cold pack would be even better..
