Great quality tool for inspection industry

I am an Quality Engineer and my job is to figure out what's wrong with our part. I don't have a caliper and in need of one to quickly measure part dimension and hole diameter and positions. I looked at Mituyoto, Starret, Brown and Sharpe and they all have high prices. With luck I came across this Mahr caliper with a flash sale of $58. I gambled without knowing the brand origin and bought it and boy did it paid off. Accurate out of the box and very well built. I've done some research and Mahr is a German company that make precision measuring tools. They merged with an American company Federal sometime in 2000s and make measuring tools for the American market. They have plants in China so probably this is where the caliper made.
Caliper came with a box and full instruction. This caliper can transmit data wirelessly but you need to purchase a software for it to do that. I'm just using it to measure basic stuff and it is great so far.
One gripe I have with it is the box seem like it has been dragged on the shelf. The caliper is new I believe but the box has several scratches. Not a big deal but looks like Amazon warehouse should take better care of valuable tools like this.
