I think the other reviewers got a different product than I did. For starters the overall workmanship is quite shoddy. The connections are poorly tack welded, the stand for the condenser is lop-sided and one of the feet has a gap of about 1/2" between the bottom of the foot and the top of the kettle.
The material that the unit is constructed from is very thin gauge metal and subject to bending and warping.
I suppose that for the price I should not have high expectations, but the quality of the manufacture was very poor. I have returned the unit and am looking elsewhere for a higher quality unit.

Nice product but very little in the way of copper. In fact, no copper. Mostly stainless steel. I was expecting the condenser to be copper but is not. Cannot add thumper in the future without problems. This product should be made for ease of modification to owner. Should not be made difficult for the addition of extra attachments. Vapor thermometer in lid leaks and steams over making it difficult to see dial. Must find after market thermometer, this one stinks. One good point to this purchase is that the seal and lid fit a 10 gal. Bayou Classic stainless steel pot. Will not be buying this product line in the future. This product should not be listed as a copper still. It is not!

I do not recommend this at all! Very, very cheap quality. It will not seal without me having to use extra clamps to apply more pressure around the gasket. Had to replace all the o-ring seals it came with to flat type because the leaked out the pressure to. Had to remove the top portion that helps cool the water down a bit because it was insufficient sitting directly on top, also it was not copper as the picture was.
I ended up just making one out of 100% copper that works great. Lesson learned. Shop around before you buy.
