Simple solution

I have my theater room setup so that my projector screen is on a wall with no other equipment to give a real theater appearance. My equipment is on the back wall.. my xfinity RNG150 cable box was a problem because I literally had to point the remote backwards to get a remote signal to work. I added this device and now I can literally point anywhere in the room and it works every time... this remote extender works fantastic with my xfinity cable box..I am very satisfied. I just hope I have some longevity to seal the deal

The device almost solves our issue of having to keep the components door open. It has a small range of angles that work so we have to point the remote very specifically to accurately fast-forward and play programs from the DVR.
I would strongly recommend against purchasing this product

This did not work. It only worked when the remote control was withing three (3) feet of the sensor. This made is a huge hassle to sit on the couch and surf the channels on the TV. I was frustrated every time I turned the TV on. Thereafter, I bought a different system (BAFX Products IR Repeater - Remote control extender Kit), and it worked perfectly from 20 feet away--the farthest that my apartment would allow. By the time I realized that this product did not work, it was too late to return; so I lost my money.
Conclusion: I would strongly recommend against purchasing this product: it does NOT work; caused me (and my kids) endless frustration and I lost my money.

I hooked this to our charter hd dvd-r and it worked great for about a week. After that if you unplugged it and then plugged it back in it would starting working again. Which, was a pain but it would work. After another week it stopped altogether. It's ashame that I paid so much for only a weeks worth of use.
