So far, it worked when I needed it while on a two-week trip. It is just like another timer I had that has worked too. So, I would say that this is at least a timer that has a reasonable track record. Time will tell if it is just OK or great.

Great timer! Very robust and with good options for timing your watering needs. I do like the ability to quickly disengage the unit by pulling out the locking collar without unscrewing the spigot head/threaded connector. I am docking one star because of the fact that the battery compartment does not seem to be sealed... there is no rubber grommet surrounding the battery compartment and there are some small holes in the battery compartment. I do worry about possible battery lead corrosion in the long term in a more humid location.
