Don’t waste your time

Bought this cable to use on my new iMac and my Thunderbolt ready Drobo. It worked for probably a month before it started disconnecting from the computer randomly. At first I thought there was a problem with my new Drobo so I contacted Drobo support and they told me to disconnect the cable and use another one to see if that was the problem. It turns out that was the issue. The cable is now useless and I am now using an USB 3.0 which works flawlessly until a I decide to spend money on a real Thunderbolt cable. Do not waste your money to save a few bucks like I did and buy the real deal. I contacted the seller and tried to return the item but more than 60 days have passed and they won't stand behind their item. Learn from my mistake.

Note: I ended up buying another cable that DID work, I'll mention that at the end.
This cable is defective. It took me many months to figure out that the issues I was having with my audio interface constantly struggling to get recognized by my computer, or constantly disconnecting after any little vibration, were being caused by this cable. To my surprise, when I came back to this listing I realized that dozens of other people were having issues with the cable as well, and it's not even a genuine Apple product.
Don't waste your time and your money.
A couple of weeks ago I ordered the Thunderbolt cable from CableMatters, and this one works PERFECTLY from the get-go. Definitely check that one out instead.

FRAUDULENT PRODUCT--not "by Apple"--and won't work

I purchased this product via Amazon Prime. An external HDD won't mount w/ this cable, but will with other Thunderbolt cables. I'm pretty sure this is a fraudulent cable, as it has no Thunderbolt marking on the cable and no Apple markings on the packaging. Extremely frustrated because the item description specifically says "by Apple." I have returned it and will be ordering something else. I wish Amazon would kick companies selling fraudulent products out of its system.

This is not a thunderbolt cable, even though its advertised as an Apple Thunderbolt cable. Will not work as a thunderbolt cable. The pictire shows the thunderbolt logo, but the item does not. Forget it.

This product is NOT a legit Thunderbolt cable and is NOT made by Apple. I purchased this to replace an existing cable that was needed elsewhere to connect my iMac to an external display, but it did not work. I became suspicious when I noticed that the thunderbolt icon was not visible on the cable, and when I checked the product page I saw some reviews that pointed out what I missed when I made this purchase.
