Man I really love this bench. So I narrowed the selection down between this model and the Ironmaster Superbench. Ended up choosing Rep Fitness based on my needs. Theres cheaper benches out there but who wants to buy something you don't really want only to have to replace it later. Anyways, I wanted a bench for heavy dumbbell exercises, core and strength training. Tip, don't waste your time with the assembly tools provided. Just use your own tools :) and make sure you tighten the bolts. Use a decent mat underneath to provide additional stability and protect the floor when you go hard. Overall very happy
This one's a winner!

INCREDIBLE bench. Couldn't be happier. This thing is substantial. The pictures don't do it justice. Commercial gym quality equipment, really. Every bolt is HUGE, even the ones holding in the seat padding. The pads are equally as substantial. No balsa wood backing that cracks when you tighten the bolts or flexes under load here. The pads are backed with a thick slab of wood and themselves are very thick but also very firm. The frame and the back post are over-engineered compared to the competition. (I'd know, I've owned and assembled a few others. Recently returned one that I hated from a brand that rhymes with Ex-Marc.)

True to the description, I had it assembled in 15 mins. Advice on assembly:
1) Have ready a socket wrench with 14mm, 17mm and 3/4" sockets, and spanner wrenches to match.
2) When assembling the seat, turn the bench upside down and remove the stopper bolt so you can lift out the seat post to make room for your hands. There will only be room to tighten the bolts 1/8 turn at a time with the spanner, so hand tighten before using the wrench.
3) When attaching the foot assembly, don't tighten the bolt in the slotted opening so much that the foot attachment can't move freely. It is meant to move freely so you can push it beneath the bench when you don't want to use the foot hold-downs, and slide forward when you do. I think that other reviewers complaining that the pads hit them in the calves might have their foot attachment tightened permanently in the outward position.

Pros:
Top of seat pad is only 17.5" from the ground, just like professional benches
Pads are super firm and long enough to accommodate the tallest lifters
Bench dips aren't a problem unlike other benches with soft pads and backrest ladder handles that protrude form the sides
Many different incline positions to suit a variety exercises
Multiple seat positions (4)
Foot hold-down travels with seat, great feature, especially for decline position.

Cons:
No rubber on feet. You'll need a mat to protect your floor and to keep the bench from sliding. I don't recommend the CAP mat in my photos unless you're building a garage gym - it weighs 70 lbs. and stinks of rubber.

When it came down to it, my decision for my new bench was between this one and the ValorPro DD-40, which is basically the same, but 10 lbs heavier and a frame made from oval tubing instead of square tubing. The ValorPro was out of stock and $30 more after tax, so the choice was easy to make. Very glad I got this one. The savings paid for the mat that I bought to go with it.
Very solid construction you can trust with heavy weights

I've been using a different adjustable bench for years in my home gym that I completely started losing trust in. It uses a springed pin to set the bench in the incline position, and claims to have a 500lb weight capacity. One day I went to perform incline dumbbell press, and the pin apparently had not locked all the way into place. In the middle of my set, the bench went from incline to full decline, sending me and my two 90lb weights rolling backwards. Could have ended very badly, but I luckily was not injured. Unfortunately though, this did end up breaking the selector pin on one of my Power Block dumbbells after it crashed into my power rack =(.

Shortly after that incident, I ordered this bench. Have been using for 6 months now and so far am very pleased. The construction is incredibly solid and I don't have any fears about it slipping out of position given the way it is designed. The seat is also adjustable (something my previous bench couldn't do), which lets me angle it up for incline exercises so that it doesn't feel like my butt is going to slide forward off the bench.

It also feels about 2x heavier than my previous bench, but I consider this to be a good thing. Thankfully it has wheels on one side so that both myself and my girlfriend can easily move it around the gym room as needed.
Excellent bench!

Loving my purchase! This is a great investment and the padding is great! Can be a little wobbly when seated upright using heavy free weights but if you're lifting that much it's not really an issue since you should have the strength to balance anyways...all in all hands down the best purchase on the market in this price range. This has become my new "sofa" making itself home right in the middle of my living room in front of my TV...perks of being single I guess. Encourages me to workout during my Netflix binges ha! Great finish, good painting job, the shipping wasn't so great BUT I lucked out and had no damage (ok ok a few light scratches BUT this is not a chandelier, it's a WORKOUT BENCH...put some sweat on it already). Was actually fun putting together, good instructions. Like the fact I can wheel it around...it's far superior to anything you are gonna find in those big box retailers.
Couldn't be happier!

Let me lay to rest any doubt about this product. I am 320 lbs and bench up to 405. This bench is sold as a rock. This bench in ALL positions doesn't even wobble a little bit. I would highly highly highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an all purpose bench. It's truly remarkable and I couldn't be happier.

Assembly was a breeze since it arrives mostly assembled. All you have to do is attach the pads and the foot attachment.

Speaking of the pads....As good or BETTER than anything I've used in a commercial gym.
