This is good size to put 8 fl oz of tea, coffee, etc. You could put 10 fl oz if you try but you would spill it when you walk with it. There are some decoration with gold. It is an actual gold (metal) so you cannot put in a microwave. It will start fire!!

Do not hesitate to buy this three tier cake stand. I have a china cabinet filled with Royal Albert Old Country Roses & this looks every bit as lovely as the rest of my china.
